MyTool – Time Assistant is a browser extension that helps users manage work time, order history, productivity statistics, estimated bonuses, daily and monthly goals, feedback checks, and selected work-reporting workflows while using EMPlanner. It also offers optional assistance with Slack work-report forms. MyTool is an independent tool and is not an official product of EMPlanner or Slack.
To provide these features, MyTool may read work-related information displayed on EMPlanner, such as order identifiers, order status, work-session times, camera counts, productivity figures, and feedback details. When its Slack reporting feature is used, it may interact with the relevant Slack interface and report fields, including a configured team-leader selection. MyTool also processes user preferences, work history, calculated bonuses, and backup files that the user chooses to import or export.
MyTool's browser permissions allow it to identify relevant tabs, store extension settings, and interact with the EMPlanner and Slack pages required for its features. The extension's declared site access is limited to app-ui.emplanner.team and app.slack.com.
MyTool is designed to store its settings and work-history data locally in the user's browser using browser storage and a local database. Users can export backups and import data themselves. When a user activates Slack reporting, the selected report information may be entered into and, if automatic submission is enabled, submitted through Slack. Data shown on EMPlanner and Slack remains subject to those services' own privacy practices.
MyTool does not operate a separate developer-owned analytics or data-collection server in the reviewed version. It does not sell user data or use work records for advertising, credit decisions, or unrelated profiling.
Users can manage extension settings, choose whether supported Slack reports are submitted automatically, export their work-history backups, and use the extension's data-management controls. Removing the extension or clearing browser data may affect locally stored information. Export any records you wish to retain before deleting data.
MyTool limits its declared site access to the services required for its functions. Because it runs inside the browser and interacts with third-party websites, users should protect their browser profile and follow their organization's policies when handling work-related information. No software can guarantee absolute security.
EMPlanner and Slack are independent third-party services. MyTool does not control their data handling, availability, or privacy policies. Users should review the relevant services' policies and ensure that their use of MyTool is permitted by their employer or organization.
